Talk: Walter F. Gonzalez of the Presidency of the Seventy

• Members have a desire to follow Christ; along with non-members
• Duty to INVITE other to see what our Church can add... to the very good things they already have.
• John 8:12 Savior - He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness but in light.
• Followers of Christ:
  • Love people (Is our love for God more powerful than adversity or temptation?)
  • Make and keep covenants as Christ did
    • An expression of love
    • A way of saying, “Yes, I will follow thee”
    • Through sacrament and temple attendance
  • Obey His commandments (under any circumstance)
    • We are not alone
    • He will assist us
    • His tender mercies will make us mighty under any circumstance
• Isaiah 53:5 and Mosiah 14:5 - And with his stripes we are healed
• The way we treat other shows our dedication to follow Him
• Attend the temple often
  • Couple in South America wanted to separate. Priesthood leader counseled to attend the Temple, pay attention to the ordinances.  Marriage was saved.
• We are HAPPIER when we follow the teaching of Jesus Christ
